• Social and Community Investment Fund
The County of Simcoe provides a Social and Community Investment Fund to help local organizations develop community-based initiatives that address poverty and homelessness. The Social and Community Investment Fund was created using the historical funding streams of Social Assistance Restructuring Reinvestment Fund, Consolidated Homelessness Prevention Program and Homelessness Partnership Fund.
It is recognized that a continuum of supports is an ideal approach for a combination of crisis intervention and preventative measures when addressing poverty and homelessness. The amount of funding available may change from year to year. A community-based allocations committee is used to help review and make project funding recommendations for County Council consideration.

• Raising the Bar on Quality Care and Education (RTB)
Raising the Bar on Quality Care and Education is a program designed to help families ensure their children are receiving high quality early learning and child care services. The presence of a Raising the Bar certificate is a sign that the program is committed to exceeding provincial regulatory standards as well as local community standards.

The Child, Youth and Family Services Coalition is a countywide alliance of organizations providing services to children, youth and their families in Simcoe County.
• Simcoe County Alliance To End Homelessness (SCATEH)
The Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness (SCATEH) is a coalition of over 70 community stakeholders and front line workers who are committed to developing and implementing strategies that will eliminate homelessness. The Alliance serves as a forum to understand, plan and co-ordinate activities that raise awareness of the complex issues surrounding homelessness and to create solutions.
