The Archives will be closed Thursday, February 23rd at 12:30pm and will remain closed on Friday, February 24th.
The Archives will re-open Monday, February 27th at 8:30am.
Archives Addition
The Simcoe County Archives expansion project is complete. The project added 10,000 sq. ft., bringing the Archives total footprint to 18,000 sq. ft. Four separate vaults provide precision environmental conditions for different storage media, and high-density moveable shelving optimizes the new storage space.

With this powerful new search tool, you will be able to access approximately 18 000 records describing our collections, which document the collective memory of Simcoe County. Though the database represents only a small portion of our collections, that portion will grow as we add more descriptions.
The Simcoe County Archives
Ontario's first County Archives was established in 1966, and continues to be a leader among small and municipal archives. The Simcoe County Archives manages the permanent records of both the County of Simcoe and its constituent municipalities, and documents the collective memory of the County by acquiring and preserving the historical record in all recording media.
