THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF SIMCOE

PUBLIC NOTICE

CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO

BY-LAW NO. 5236 -THE PROCEDURE BY-LAW

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Simcoe intends to adopt amendments to its Procedure By-law at its meeting on the 25^th day of November, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.

The meeting will be held in the County of Simcoe Council Chambers, County of Simcoe Administration Centre, 1110 Highway 26, Midhurst, Ontario.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT

THE PURPOSE of the proposed amendments to the Procedure By-law are to repeal and replace Section 3 of By-law No. 5236 and to repeal Section 22 By-law No. 5236.

THE EFFECT of the by-law will be to repeal and replace Section 3 of Council’s existing Procedure By-law in order to implement a procedure to allow candidates for the office of Warden to address County Council in advance of the Inaugural meeting. Additionally, the by-law will repeal Section 22 of Council’s existing Procedure By-law to remove the provisions regarding Money Grants which are now addressed by a separate policy.

ANY PERSON may attend the meeting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION related to the proposed Procedure By-law amendments is available for inspection in the Clerk’s Office at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre during regular office hours – Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by contacting the Clerk’s Department at 705-726-9300 extension 1246.

This notice is provided pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001 as amended, and County of Simcoe By-law No. 4859.
